BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Matic is from Kitchener, Ontario and studied Microbiology at the University of Guelph. She earned her MD from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario and then completed residency in Medical Microbiology at the University of Toronto. She joined the team at Providence Health Care as a Medical Microbiologist with a focus in virology. Her main interest is improving patient quality of care and timely access to care. Dr. Matic is also the Site Director for the UBC Medical Microbiology Residency Program at St. Paul’s Hospital. She is the recipient of the Dr. Melvyn Bernstein Resident Teaching Award (2023) and UBC New Faculty Research Award (2020).
