BIOGRAPHY
Biography
I was born and grew up in Tehran, Iran. After completing high school, I attended the Medical Science University of Iran, obtaining my Bachelor and Doctorate degree in Medical Laboratory Science. I worked as a technologist and later as a clinical lab director in Tehran University, Departments of Microbiology, Hematology, Biochemistry and Immunology. In 1996 after completing IVF-Embryology training program, I changed fields and started to work with Infertility Department of Tehran Vali-e-Asr Hospital. I was the core member of establishing Andrology and Embryology Laboratory at this hospital. In 1999 my family and I moved to Ottawa, ON. I joined Dr. Benjamin Tsang’s research lab (CHRI) as a research assistant. In 2001, I joined Ottawa IVF Lab, first at Civic Hospital and then Ottawa Fertility Center. Also I worked as part time lab scientist at Immunology Department of Ottawa University under Dr. Lionel G. Filion's supervision. In 2008 we moved to Vancouver, BC. I completed the requirements and applied for CSMLS licence and joined immunology/histocompatibility laboratory team at Vancouver General Hospital. I have started my position as Clinical Research Coordinator at St. Paul’s Hospital Laboratory since November 2016.
